Learning and Daily Schedule

MHT Preschool/PreK Learning Domains:

Religion- Allelu! by OSV focuses on helping young children form a relationship with Christ and his Church. Teachers introduce weekly concepts and engage families with a regular take home activity.

Social-Emotional - Students are introduced to multiple feelings. Allowing them to express themselves to both the teacher and peers. A cozy corner allows the child to build self-regulation skills to grow in this area.

Language and Literacy -  Students develop early reading, writing, and verbal skills while enjoying classic stories and parables of Christ's life. With the formal training completed by the teachers, Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling creates a language enriched classroom. Introducing phonics, phonemic awareness, and morphology.

Science -  Students observe and examine the wonder of God's creations through senses that are used to discover and experience, which promotes questions and exploration. 

Social Studies - Students experience a sense of belonging to a community of Catholic faith. Learn respect and care for self, all others and the world God has gifted us with.

Physical Development, Health/Safety - Students develop fine and large motor skills through physical activities that promote health, wellness, and cooperation with others.

Fine Art - Students experience the arts through joyful, creative activities of self-expression with a variety of materials. Appreciate music through learning songs and prayer filled hymns by listening, singing, dancing, and movement.

Approaches to Learning -  Students experience learning in a Christ centered environment while developing new skills that spark curiosity, creativity and enjoyment in the classroom.
